Umbria is a region in the center of Italy. It borders Tuscany and has a lot of ressemblance with this region, the main difference is that it is more quiet and still undiscovered by mass tourism. The gently rolling green hills are home to many wine farms. The wines from Umbria belong to the best wines of Italy because of its sunny climate and chalky soil. There are some cities that are definitely worth a visit, such as Perugia, Terni and Orvieto, a monumental city built on a high plateau with a magnificent view of the surroundings. The villas in Umbria are located on the top of green hills and offer a private pool for cooling off on hot summer days. The region is easily accessible by car.
