Veneto is a region in Italy, with its capital the enchanting Venice. The region has three types of landscape; mountains, plain and coastline. In the lowlands are the major cities of Venice, Verona and Padua, and on the coast are the famous resorts Jesolo, Bibione and Caorle. Around the cities in the lowlands, agriculture is common, especially wine is produced here. In addition to the towns in this area, Veneto also counts many villages where you can enjoy nature and the ancient Roman architecture. The tourist resort of Lake Garda, or Lago di Garda, also lies in this region. Here you can enjoy a nice swim or do water sports during the hot summer days. In the summer it is around 25 degrees, with a lovely sea breeze. Fine weather to enjoy the regional risotto, often prepared with fish or seafood and a glass of Prosecco on a terrace. This is produced in the wine region of Treviso, which is above Venice. Veneto is easily accessible by car, but it can also be reached by plane, to Venice or Verona.
